I'm Chloe, an English and Chinese teacher from Shanghai, China.
Ever since I was a student, I have had a passion for language learning, with English quickly becoming my favourite subject. After graduating from university, I started teaching and have since helped students of all ages improve their grades and boost their self-confidence through personalised lessons.
Today, I focus on designing engaging lessons to help students succeed. Outside of teaching, I love photography, jazz dance, and travelling to explore different cultures. At home, I enjoy life with my three active dogs who always keep me energised.
Methodology
My teaching methodology emphasizes personalized one-to-one or small-group lessons, tailored to each student’s specific goals—whether excelling in exams, enhancing academic performance, or pursuing learning for personal interest. I focus on clear learning progression, active engagement, and fostering a genuine love for learning.
Background
Born and raised in China, I began my career teaching in schools before transitioning to private tutoring, where I could focus on individualized learning. I work with children and adults, helping them master English and Chinese. I design programs to enhance language skills, build confidence, and help students realize their full potential.
Teaching Experience
I have guided students to achieve impressive results, with many excelling in Common Entrance exams, scoring consistently above average, and improving their grades from C’s to A’s. Additionally, I support adults in enhancing their communication skills for career advancement and personal growth.
